DAILY: Vietnamese coffee prices remained unchanged on May 15
Monday, May 15,2023AsemconnectVietnam - On Monday, Robusta coffee prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands, the country's largest coffee-growing area remained unchanged at VND54,900 – VND55,300 per kg compared to Yesterday, according to Kinhtedothi.com.
Cư M'gar of Dak Lak provided the maximum price of VND55,300/kg, while traders in Lam Dong province offered the lowest price of VND54,900/kg. Robusta coffee stayed at VND54,900 per kg in Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha; at VND53,700- 53,800 per kg in Dak Lak; at VND55,200-55,300 per kg in Dak Nong; at VND55,200 per kg in Kon Tum, and at VND55,100-55,200 per kg in Gia Lai.
Several parts of Vietnam's Central Highlands, the country's coffee belt, have recorded rainfall, easing drought fears. Even as it rained in several parts of the coffee belt this week, traders said the weather condition would be monitored closely due to the affect of El Nino.
Vietnam's coffee exports in April stood at 163,607 tonnes (2.7 million 60-kg bags), down 22.2% from March, customs data showed. January-April coffee exports were also down 5.5% against the same period last year. Coffee export revenue for the month reached $399 million, down 17.3% against March, Vietnam Customs said in a statement.
