This year, the new-age carrier plans to reach agreements with aircraft manufacturers Airbus and Boeing, ensuring on-time delivery of planes, while expanding business activities in ground services, training services and digital business, and optimising operations and financial solutions to cut costs while improving efficiency.
Participants at the meeting agreed on the goals of turning Vietjet a leading airline in digital technology, raising its capital to meet the development demand, and prioritising asset growth and financial capability improvement, paving the way for its sustainable development.
Vietjet will expand its fleet to 87 aircraft (including nine Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft) to operate 139,513 flights carrying 25.7 million passengers. Vietjet has also put its wide-body Airbus A330 fleet into operation for long-range routes to Kazakhstan, India and Australia.
Vietjet has successfully developed a tablet-based check-in project, helping ground staff to be flexible in supporting customers to check-in, while integrating systems such as HD Insurance, Galaxy Pay to provide customers with more options in products and services.
It has also launched the brand-new loyalty programme SkyJoy with endless rewards together with the in-flight POS payment system for ancillary purchase.
It posted a revenue of 40.14 trillion VND (1.71 billion USD) in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 212%.
