AsemconnectVietnam - In the first 2 months of 2023, Vietnam’s cashew nut exports to China and the United Arab Emirates grew by 3 digits compared to the same period of 2022.

The Import and Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) quoted the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs as saying that Vietnam's cashew exports in February of 2023 reached approximately 34,300 tonnes, worth of 197.7 million USD, an increase of 25.8% in volume and 26.9% in value compared to January of 2023. The figure saw 35.4% increase in volume and 31.2% increase in value compared to February of 2022.
Generally, in the first two months of 2023, Vietnam's cashew exports reached 61,500 tonnes, worth of 353.12 million USD, down by 4.4% in volume and by 7.4% in value over the same period last year.
In February of 2023, the average export price of Vietnam's cashew nuts reached 5,766 USD/tonne, up by 0.9% compared to January of 2023, but down by 3.1% compared to February of 2022. Generally, in the first two months of 2023, the average export price of Vietnam's cashew nuts stood at 5,742 USD per tonne, down by 3.4% over the same period of 2022.
In February of 2023, the country’s cashew nut exports to many key markets have the potential to increase sharply compared to the same period of 2022, except for the United States and Germany.
Generally in the first 2 months of 2023, cashew nut exports to the US, Netherlands, Australia, Canada, Germany, etc. decreased, but the exports to China and the United Arab Emirates grew to 3 figures compared to the same period of 2022.
