DAILY: Vietnamese pepper prices rose by 500 VND on March 17

AsemconnectVietnam - On Friday, domestic pepper prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands increased by 500 VND to VND64,000 – 66,500 per kg compared to Yesterday, according to Kinhtedothi,vn.

In Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, the maximum price for pepper rose to VND66,500 per kg, while in Dong Nai province, the lowest price at VND64,000 per kg. Farmers in Binh Phuoc sold pepper for VND65,500 per kilogram, Gia Lai province for VND64,000 per kilogram, and in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces for VND65,000 per kilogram.
The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) quoted data from the General Department of Customs as saying that it is estimated that in the first two months of 2023, Vietnam's pepper exports reached 41,000 tonnes, worth of 129 million USD, up by 35% in volume, but down by 7.4% in value over the same period of 2022.
The average export price of Vietnam's pepper was estimated at 3,177 USD/tonne, down by 31.4% over the same period of 2022.
