AsemconnectVietnam - According to the preliminary statistics figures from the General Department of Customs, the import turnover of all kinds of seafood to Vietnam in 2024 reached over 2.64 billion USD, an increase of 1.79% compared to 2023.

In December of 2024 alone, the import turnover of this group of goods reached over 306.12 million USD, an increase of 26.9% compared to November of 2024 and an increase of 38% compared to December of 2023.
In 2024, Indonesia, Norway, China and India were the main markets supplying seafood to Vietnam; In which, the imports from Indonesia continued to increase sharply by 61.36% compared to 2023, leading in turnover, reaching over 334.43 million USD, accounting for 12.7% of the total import turnover of this group of goods nationwide.
In December of 2024 alone, the imports from this market reached nearly 49.23 million USD, an increase of 38.45% compared to November of 2024 and a sharp increase of 101.05% compared to December of 2023.
Norway ranked second in turnover, imports from this market in December of 2024 continued to increase sharply by 42.1% compared to November of 2024 and increased by 77.5% compared to December of 2023, reaching over 43.9 million USD, bringing the total import turnover in 2024 to nearly 320.88 million USD, accounting for 12.2%, up by 13.48% compared to 2023.
The next was the Indian market with over 285.09 million USD in 2024, accounting for 10.8%, down by 14.57%. In December of 2024 alone, the imports from this market reached nearly 49.29 million USD, up by 70.44% compared to November of 2024 and up by 99.86% compared to December of 2023.
The imports from China reached 273.76 million USD, accounting for 10.4%, up by 22.73%; while the imports from Japan reached 211.9 million USD, accounting for 8.04%, up by 23.94%.
