AsemconnectVietnam - Wood and wood products are one of Vietnam's key export groups with a turnover of more than ten billion USD/year.

According to the latest preliminary statistics of the General Department of Customs, in the first half of October (October 1-15), wood and wood products exports reached 705.3 million USD.
Totally from the beginning of the year to October 15, the exports of this group of goods reached 12.39 billion USD, an increase of 2.2 billion USD compared to the same period last year (equivalent to a growth rate of up to 21.6%).
Currently, wood and wood products are one of Vietnam's key export groups with a turnover of more than 10 billion USD/year.
If the increase continues as it had in the past 9 months, wood and wood products exports are likely to reach 16 billion USD in 2024.
The major export markets for this industry were the United States, China, Japan, South Korea, EU, etc.
In which, the United States continued to be the largest market, accounting for over 50% of the country's export turnover of this group of goods.
The General Department of Customs' update information showed that by the end of September, wood and wood product exports to the United States reached nearly 6.5 billion USD, accounting for 55.64% of the country's turnover, an increase of approximately 26% over the same period last year.
