AsemconnectVietnam - Achieving 90% of the annual profit plan after 6 months, Rang Dong Light Bulb and Vacuum Flask JSC (code RAL) has announced its decision to pay interim dividend for the first period of 2024 to shareholders.

The dividend will be paid in cash, at a rate of 25% (equivalent to 01 share receiving VND2,500). The last registration date is August 19 and the payment date is August 28.
With more than 23.5 million shares in circulation, the total amount of interim dividend for the first period of 2024 of RAL is approximately VND59 billion. According to RAL's plan, in 2024, the enterprise will pay dividends at a rate of 50% of charter capital and paid in cash. The payment period is divided into 2 times; accordingly, the second installment will be paid in April 2025 with the remaining 25%.
Regarding RAL's business situation, in the second quarter of 2024, RAL recorded net revenue of VND2,119 billion, an increase of 39% over the same period last year. Due to the sharp increase in cost of goods sold of 53%, up to VND1,682 billion, gross profit increased by only 3%, to VND437 billion. Gross profit margin narrowed from 28% to 21%.
This period, RAL's financial revenue reached VND6 billion, 3 times higher than the same period. Meanwhile, financial expenses decreased by 36%, down to VND20 billion. In addition, sales expenses and business management expenses were VND236 billion and VND44 billion, up 4% and down 17% respectively over the same period.
As a result, RAL's after-tax profit was VND137 billion in the second quarter of 2024, up 24% compared to the second quarter of 2023.
RAL said that its business results grew well thanks to the company's strong application of digital transformation through building smart production, automation and improving automation of stages in the chain. In the fields of high-tech agriculture and aquaculture, the Company has researched, developed and launched specialized lighting solutions to help save energy, bringing high economic efficiency to farmers.
Accumulated in the first half of 2024, RAL brought in VND4,950 billion in net revenue and VND332 billion in after-tax profit, up 35% and 13% respectively over the same period last year.
In 2024, RAL plans to reach VND7,050 billion in revenue and VND388 billion in pre-tax profit. With a pre-tax profit of 351 billion VND in the first 6 months, RAL has completed more than 90% of the year's target.
