Mr. Dang Minh Tuan, Head of Communications and Digital Transformation of TMV, informed: TMV's auto parts export turnover reached nearly 29 million USD after 6 months. According to Mr. Tuan, since 2022, Toyota Vietnam and Department of Industry - Ministry of Industry and Trade have coordinated to support improvement of operations for a number of domestic enterprises in auto support industry to improve production processes.
Specifically, TMV will accompany and provide in-depth support to enterprises in fields of stamping, casting, plastics and rubber by sending experts to work, find existing problems and work with enterprises to propose solutions and improvement plans, thereby improving capacity of enterprises. After 2 years, the program has supported 11 suppliers to reduce inventory and factory area, maximize costs, increase productivity as well as improve working environment of employees.
In 2024, TMV will continue to implement this activity at 5 enterprises: SIGMA VIETNAM Technology and Trading Joint Stock Company, Vietnam Engineering and Industry Group Joint Stock Company (Intech), Hoa An Import-Export Joint Stock Company, Z131 Factory and Haast Vietnam Industrial Company Limited.
Along with goal of increasing localization rate and supporting purely Vietnamese suppliers to accompany development of Vietnamese automobile industry and supporting industry, the enterprise also promotes export of components and spare parts.
Accordingly, in the first 6 months of 2024, TMV's export turnover of auto components and spare parts reached nearly 29 million USD, with accumulated revenue reaching more than 892 million USD.
In addition, the list of Toyota suppliers is up to 60, including 13 Vietnamese suppliers, with total number of localized products reaching nearly 1,000 products of all kinds.
