DAILY: Vietnamese coffee prices rose by 200 VND on October 18
Wednesday, October 18,2023AsemconnectVietnam - On Wednesday, Robusta coffee prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands, the country's largest coffee-growing area rose by 200 VND to VND63,600 – VND64,200 per kg compared to Yesterday, according to Kinhtedothi.
Gia Nghia of Dak Nong provided the maximum price of VND64,200/kg, while traders in Lam Dong province offered the lowest price of VND63,600. Robusta coffee increased to VND63,600 in Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha; to VND 64,000– VND64,100 per kg in Dak Lak; to VND64,100 - VND64,200 in Dak Nong; to VND63,900 per kg in Kon Tum, and to VND63,900 - VND 64,000 per kg in Gia Lai.
The first Son La Province Coffee Festival will take place from October 20-23 with the theme "Arabica, Son La Coffee - the flavor of the Northwest mountains and forests".
The festival will feature a Coffee Gala in Son La city, Farmers' Competition in Chieng Co commune, the inauguration of investment projects in coffee and Cascara tea production in Muong Bon commune, Mai Son district and business connection conference.
Vuong Van Hai, Chairman of Son La Provincial Coffee Association, said: “Son La is one of the major coffee production provinces in Vietnam. Son La is focusing on growing specialty coffee, high quality coffee, and certified coffee. The first Coffee Festival honors coffee growers and producers and promotes its coffee products to domestic and international consumers as well as Son La’s culture and people.”
