DAILY: Vietnamese coffee prices rose by 200 VND on October 17

AsemconnectVietnam - On Tuesday, Robusta coffee prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands, the country's largest coffee-growing area rose by 200 VND to VND63,400 – VND64,000 per kg compared to Yesterday, according to Kinhtedothi.

Gia Nghia of Dak Nong provided the maximum price of VND64,000/kg, while traders in Lam Dong province offered the lowest price of VND63,400. Robusta coffee increased to VND63,400 in Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha; to VND 63,800– VND63,900 per kg in Dak Lak; to VND 63,900 - VND64,000 in Dak Nong; to VND63,700 per kg in Kon Tum, and to VND63,700 - VND 63,800 per kg in Gia Lai.
In the first 9 months of 2023, Vietnam's coffee exports were estimated to reach 1,266 million tonnes, worth of 3.16 billion USD, down by 7.3% in volume, but up by 1.9% in value over the same period last year. Vietnam's average coffee export price was estimated to reach 2,499 USD/tonne, up by 9.9% over the same period of 2022.
The ILD Coffee Vietnam Ltd Company on September 29 inaugurated its freeze-dried instant coffee factory with an annual production capacity of 5,600 tonnes in the southern province of Binh Duong. The factory with a total investment of more than 84 million USD is located in the Protrade International Industrial Park in An Tay commune, Ben Cat town. It using modern extraction and freeze-drying technology is installed production equipment designed to minimise impacts on the environment.
The instant coffee factory is expected to increase the added value of the products and incomes for coffee growers.
