AsemconnectVietnam - According to the General Statistics Office, in August of 2023, Vietnam imported and exported 1.05 million tonnes of crude oil with a value of 661 million USD.

Totally in the first 8 months of 2023, Vietnam imported and exported 9.67 million tonnes of crude oil, the turnover reached 5.94 billion USD, up by 25% in volume but down by 6% in value compared to the same period last year.
Regarding exports, in August of 2023, Vietnam exported 350,000 tonnes of crude oil, worth of 239 million USD, an increase of 74.9% in volume and 47.2% in value over the same period last year.
August of 2023 was the month with the highest growth in both volume and crude oil export turnover since the beginning of 2023 until now.
In the first 8 months of 2023, Vietnam exported 1.98 million tonnes of crude oil with a turnover of 1.31 billion USD, an increase of 18.4% in volume and a decrease of 10.2% in value compared to the same period last year.
Regarding imports, in August of 2023, Vietnam imported 700,000 tonnes of crude oil, with the turnover of 422 million USD, down by 45.2% in volume and 58.3% in value compared to the same period last year.
In the first 8 months of 2023, Vietnam imported 7.69 million tonnes of crude oil with a turnover of 4.63 billion USD, an increase of 25.6% in volume and a decrease of 4.9% in value.
