Coffee exports to the New Zealand grew by 3 digits
Friday, August 25,2023AsemconnectVietnam - According to the Import-Export Department (under the Ministry of Industry and Trade), citing data from the General Department of Customs, in July of 2023, Vietnam's coffee exports to New Zealand reached 194 tonnes, worth of 583.71 million USD, an increase of 44.8% in volume and 48.0% in value compared to June of 2023, and up by 73.2% in volume and 108.2% in value compared to July of 2022.
In the first 7 months of 2023, Vietnam's coffee exports to New Zealand reached 1,200 tonnes, worth of 3.2 million USD, up by 106.5 percent in volume and 144.2 percent in value compared to the same period last year.
In July of 2023, the average export price of Vietnamese coffee to the New Zealand market reached 3,009 USD/tonne, up by 2.2% compared to June of 2023 and up by 20.2% compared to July of 2022. Generally in the first 7 months of 2023, the average export price of Vietnamese coffee to the New Zealand market reached 2,638 USD/tonne, up by 18.3% over the same period last year.
Regarding the types of coffee exports in the first 7 months of 2023, Vietnam exported Robusta, Arabica and processed coffee to the New Zealand market. In which, the exports of Robusta and processed coffee to the New Zealand market saw an increase of 186.1 percent and 58.5% respectively over the same period last year, accounting for 76.48% and 23.03%, respectively. In contrast, the exports of Arabica coffee to the New Zealand market saw a decrease of 17.2% over the same period last year, accounting for 0.49%.
