The exports of furniture only reached $5.05 billion in the first ten months, up by 9.3 per cent year – on – year.

The U.S was the country’s biggest export market of wood and furnitures in the first ten months of this year with the export turnover of $3.12 billion up by 17.5 per cent over the same period last year and accounted for 43.2 per cent of the total.

In October only, the country exported $388.9 million worth of wood and furniture to the U.S, up by 15.5 per cent over the previous month and by 30.9 per cent over the same month of last year.

Japan ranked second with $931.26 million, up by 9.5 per cent, accounted for 12.9 per cent; and then China - $915.31 million, up by 4.8 per cent; South Korea - $785.74 million, up by 47.9 per cent; and EU - $612.41 million, up by 4.8 per cent.

In the first ten months of this year, Vietnam’s exports of wood and furniture to Czech increased by 110.6 per cent to $1.24 million; to Switzerland – up by 103.4 per cent to over $1.44 million; to Malaysia – up by 104.8 per cent to $87.12 million; to Finland – up by 67.8 per cent to $1.46 million; and to Mexico – up by 61.2 per cent to $11.74
million.

However, the country’s exports of wood and furniture to Hong Kong fell sharply by 56.7 per cent to $6.72 million; to Turkey – down by 21.2 per cent to $9.42 million; to Kuwait – down by 36.6 per cent to $5.17 million; to Greece – down by 24 per cent to $2.31 million.
