In July, the country’s exports of goods to Cambodia reached $316.4 million, increased slightly by 1.87 per cent over the previous month and by 34.27 per cent over the same month of last year.

Iron and steel was leading the list of items exported by the country in the first seven months of this year with 717,500 tons worth of $462.7 million, up by 49.03 per cent in quantity and 77.87 per cent in value over the same period last year. It was followed by textiles and garments with $257.38 million, up by 36.39 per cent; and then petroleum – 432,100 tons worth of $287.27 million, up by 6.52 per cent in quantity and 32.46 per cent in value year – on – year. 

In the first seven months of this year, Vietnam’s exports of fruits and vegetables to Cambodia increased sharply by 6.42 times or 542.48 per cent to $2.1 million; wood and furniture – up by 73.37 per cent to $7.5 million; and plastics – up by 60.98 per cent to $6.6 million.

However, the exports of means of transport and spare parts to Cambodia decreased slightly by 1.64 per cent; chemicals – down by 1.31 per cent; telephones and components – down by 1.79 per cent.
