Vietnam to increase imports of LPG from Thailand
Tuesday, April 17,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam imported 117,800 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) worth of US$ 59.8 million in March, increased by 21.3 per cent in quantity and 12.2 per cent in value compared with the previous month, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
China was the largest LPG import market of Vietnam in the period with 142,300 tons worth of $ 83.9 million, up by 8.32 per cent in quantity and 10.45 per cent in value. Meanwhile, the imports from the U.A.E reached 46,900 tons worth of $ 25 million, down by 47.74 per cent in quantity and 46.54 per cent in value.
Besides the above two markets, Vietnam also imported LPG from Indonesia, South Korea and Thailand. The imports of LPG from Indonesia in the first 3 months of this year decreased by 47.04 per cent in quantity and 46.57 per cent in value to 5,900 tons worth of $ 3.5 million.
However, the imports of LPG from Thailand increased by 2 times in quantity and in value to 31,400 tons worth of $ 18.5 million.
