Seafood exports totaled US$ 7.6 billion in 11 months

AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s seafood exports were estimated at over US$ 7.6 billion in the first 11 months of this year, increased by nearly 18 per cent over the same period last year.
In November only, the exports of seafood reached $ 733 million, up by 11 per cent year – on – year.
The country is expected to earn $ 8.3 billion from seafood exports this year, up by 18 per cent compared with 2016.
By the end of November, the exports of shrimp totaled nearly $ 3.5 billion, up by nearly 22 per cent year – on – year. The exports of shrimp are expected to reach $ 3.8 billion this year, up by 20 per cent compared with 2016.
Meanwhile, the exports of Tra fish reached $ 1.6 billion, up by 5 per cent and are expected to reach $ 1.8 billion this year, up by 4 per cent year – on – year.
The exports of tuna reached $ 541 million in the first 11 months and are expected to reach $ 600 million this year; while the exports of squids and octopuses reached $ 565 million in the first 11 months and are expected to reach $ 600 million this year.
