US$ 1.7 billion worth of goods exported to Cambodia
Thursday, October 12,2017AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam exported US$ 1.7 billion worth of goods to Cambodia in the first eight months of this year, increased by 21.81 per cent over the same period last year, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
Iron and steel was leading the list of items exported by the country to Cambodia in the period with 559,200 tons worth of $ 303.9 million, up by 33.5 per cent in quantity; 576.14 per cent in value and accounted for 17.2 per cent of the total.
It was followed by petroleum with 459,500 tons worth of $ 28.6 million, down by 3.67 per cent in quantity but up by 24.1 per cent in value; and textile, garment, leather and footwear materials with $ 18.7 million, up by 19.8 per cent.
Especially, the country’s exports of cell phones and accessories to Cambodia rocketed by 3,024.84 per cent year – on – year to $ 3.4 million.
