The country exported US$ 443.3 million worth of goods to Indonesia in the first two months of this year, down by 8.18 per cent over the same period last year, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.

Vietnam exported to Indonesia 30 items, leading by cell phones and accessories with the export turnover of $ 113.6 million in the first two months of this year, up by 36.59 per cent year – on – year and accounted for 25.6 per cent of the total.

It was followed by iron and steel of all kinds with $ 61.3 million, up by 16.37 per cent; and machines, equipment and spare parts - $ 33.7 million, up by 17.74 per cent.

In the first two months of this year, Vietnam’s exports of chemicals to Indonesia rocketed by 646.39 per cent to $ 10.2 million, while the exports of animal feed and materials to Indonesia reached $ 1.1 million, down by 69.06 per cent.

Besides chemicals, the country’s exports of paper and products to Indonesia also increased by 130.71 per cent; plastics – up by 151.14 per cent and rubber – up by 108.58 per cent.
