Exports of electric wires and cables increased
Friday, October 28,2016AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s exports of electric wires and cables reached US$ 687.49 million in the first 9 months of this year, up by 7.9 per cent over the same period last year, according to the figures of the General Department of Customs.
In September only, the country’s exports of electric wires and cables reached $ 116.73 million, up by 45.5 per cent year – on – year.
The main export markets of electric wires and cables were China, Japan, South Korea and the U.S.
In the first 9 months of this year, China was leading the list of the country’s major export markets of electric wires and cables with the export turnover of $ 164.71 million, accounted for 24 per cent of the total and increased by 13.5 per cent over the same period last year.
It was followed by Japan with $ 162.09 million, up by 19.7 per cent year – on – year, and accounted for 23.6 per cent of the total. And then South Korea with $ 64.38 million, accounted for 9.4 per cent of the total and increased by 22 per cent year – on – year.
In the first three quarters of this year, the country’s exports of electric wires and cables to Taiwan increased by 32 per cent; to Malaysia – up by 14.9 per cent; and to the U.S – up by 9.6 per cent.
However, the exports to Australia, Laos, and Hong Kong decreased by 35.8 per cent; 25 per cent and 16.7 per cent, respectively year – on – year.
