AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam exported US$ 12.33 billion worth of goods to Japan in the first ten months of this year, accounted for 9.96 per cent of the country’s total export turnover and increased by 10.99 per cent over the same period last year.

Textiles and garments were leading in the list of items exported to Japan in the first ten months of this year with the export turnover of $ 2.16 billion, up by 9.54 per cent over the same period last year and accounted for 17.54 per cent of the total. It was followed by means of transport and spare parts with $ 1.7 billion; crude oil - $ 1.43 billion; machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts - $ 1.2 billion; seafood - $ 980.37 million; wood and furniture - $ 791.17 million. 

In the first ten months of this year, Vietnam’s export of cassava and products to Japan increased sharply by 225 per cent; that of cashew nuts – up by 211.58 per cent; cell phones and accessories – up by 139.18 per cent.
