Meanwhile, the country’s exports of goods to Malaysia decreased slightly.

Exports of goods to Singapore increased slightly
According to the preliminary statistics figures of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the total export turnover of Vietnam's goods to the Singapore market in the first 11 months of 2019 reached 2.98 billion USD, up by 4.4 per cent over the same period last year. In particular, crude oil was the group with the largest volume and export value, with 135,244 tons, up by 204.53 per cent and reaching 72.49 million USD, up by 193.22 per cent over the same period of 2018.

The following was the group of petroleum products, with the total exports in the first 11 months of 2019 of 65,985 tons, up by 184.04 per cent and the turnover reached 33.56 million USD, up by 151.86 per cent over the same period last year. There were also some items with slightly increased export turnover such as fruit and vegetables (up by 13.53 per cent); rice (up by 10.55 per cent); rubber (up by 37.22 per cent); footwear of all kinds (up by 14.79 per cent); other common metals and products (up by 29.87 per cent); toys, sports equipment and parts (up by 11.59 per cent).

In the opposite direction, Singapore also reduced imports of many groups of Vietnamese products. In particular, the largest reduction was the pepper group, down by 64.16 per cent over the same period last year, reaching 5.67 million USD.
Computers, electronic products and components accounted for the largest market share of Vietnam's total merchandise exports to Singapore, with 15.27 per cent; and the value of 506.59 million USD, down by 3.46 per cent compared to the same period of 2018.
The exports of iron and steel of all types in November of 2019 alone reached 8.16 million USD, up by 10 times compared to the previous month, but still down slightly in 11 months of 2019 with a decrease of 1.48 per cent over the same period of 2018, reaching 21.09 million USD.

Vietnam’s exports of goods to Malaysia decreased slightly
According to the figures from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam's merchandise exports to Malaysia in the first 11 months of 2019 were down slightly by 7.2 per cent compared to the same period last year to 3.49 billion USD.

Of the total items exported to Malaysia, there were many commodity groups with export value of over 100 million USD, such as seafood products with 107.28 million USD, up by 2.94 per cent over the same period last year, accounting for 3.07 per cent of the total market share; rice - 207.38 million USD, down by 3.09 per cent, accounting for 5.93 per cent of the total market share; textiles and garments - 109.73 million USD, down by 12.95 per cent, accounting for 3.14 per cent of the total market share; glass and glass products - 182.07 million USD, down by 28.3 per cent, accounting for 5.21 per cent of the total market share; machinery, equipment, tools and other spare parts reached 252.86 million USD, up by 30.04 per cent, accounting for 7.23 per cent of the total market share; transport means and spare parts reached 186.45 million USD, up by 15.63 per cent, accounting for 5.33 per cent of the total market share.

Computers, electronic products and components held the largest market share in the total of 11 months' exports of goods with 12.84 per cent and the turnover of 448.93 million USD – decreased sharply by 36.42 per cent over the same period last year. The next was the group of iron and steel of all kinds, accounting for 12.05 per cent of the total market share with 421.32 million USD, up by 8.34 per cent over the same period last year.
The exports of crude oil saw the strongest increase in both quantity and value. This group accounted for only 5.06 per cent of the market share with 176.94 million, but up by 318.57 per cent over the same period last year, with the volume also increased by 4 times, equivalent to 335.06 per cent to 344,506 tons.
