Participating teams consist of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s FK Sarajevo, Japan Students, the Republic of Korea’s Hanyang University, and Vietnam.
They will compete in a round-robin format to select the two best teams for the final; the two remaining teams will play-off for third place. The champions will pocket the trophy, medal and 12,000 USD in cash.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 5:45 pm on October 30, with Vietnam taking on the Hanyang University team in the first match.
Entrance is free for spectators throughout the event, which is the 13th edition of its kind co-organised by the Thanh Nien Media Corporation and Vietnam Football Federation.
According to Nguyen Cong Khe, chairman of the corporation, the tournament has attracted strong teams, promising some fascinating matches. This is an opportunity for young Vietnamese players to learn from their foreign peers, he added./.
