Hoi An tops CNN’s list of 13 most beautiful towns in Asia
Tuesday, September 3,2019AsemconnectVietnam - The ancient town of Hoi An in Vietnam’s central province of Quang Nam has topped the list of the 13 most beautiful towns throughout Asia compiled by CNN travel.
In previous lists, CNN has also praised Hoi An as the most beautiful ancient town in Southeast Asia.
The list was made based on criteria such as architecture, stunning scenery, and cultural immersion.
CNN Travel described Hoi An as a heaven for photographers, foodies and architecture lovers.
Besides the Vietnamese destination on the list, were other cities including Yufu in in Japan, George Town in Malaysia, Vigan in the Philippines, Luang Prabang in Laos, Kampot in Cambodia, Kota Gede in Indonesia, Galle in Sri Lanka, Chu Trang in China, Mawlynnong in India, Ghandruk in Nepal, Sai Kung in Hong Kong, and Phuket in Thailand.
Recently, the ancient town of Hoi An has been named as the best city in the world by the American travel site www.travelandleisure.com. To mark this announcement, Travel and Leisure produced a video clip introducing the charming beauty of Hoi An to travel lovers.
This year will also mark the 20th anniversary of UNESCO’s recognition of Hoi An as a World Heritage Site.
