Nearly 700 Vietnamese to attend SEA Games 29

AsemconnectVietnam - Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien has approved sending a Vietnamese delegation of 693 members to the 29th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 29) in Malaysia.
The event will take place from August 11 to 30, with a flag-raising ceremony held on the morning of August 17.
Vietnam’s delegation will be led by Tran Duc Phan, deputy head of the Vietnam Sports Administration. The athletes are due to compete in 32 out of 28 sports.
The event is viewed as an important step to prepare for the Asian Games 2018 and Olympic Games 2020.
