Vietnam to host Asia Men’s Club Volleyball Championship
Friday, June 16,2017AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam will host the Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship from June 28 to July 6 in the northern provinces of Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh, which draws 13 top teams in Asia, according to the Vietnam Sports Administration.
At a press conference on June 15, Vice General Director of the administration Tran Duc Phan said that this is the first time the Vietnam Volleyball Federation has organised the event, which is expected to be interesting with the competitions of strongest teams in the region.
The teams and clubs are Canberra Heat from Australia, China Beijing Baic Motor from China, Yan Chai from Hong Kong (China), Sarmayeh Bank from Iran, Al-Bahri from Iraq, Toyota Gosei Trefuerza from Japan, Altay from Kazakhstan, Al-Arabi from Qatar, the teams of Srilanka, Maldives and Taiwan (China), Air Force from Thailand, and the Vietnamese team.
The winner will represent Asia to compete at the 2018 World Volleyball Men’s World Championship.
