 Wednesday, March 29,2017

AsemconnectVietnam -  Vietnam continues targeting a place among the top three countries in the 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, which will be held in Malaysia from August 19-31.

The sport sector is pinning high hope on young faces and talents who made history at the international tournaments.

They include marksman Hoang Xuan Vinh who won a gold and a silver at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games in August 2016, swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien who earned eight gold medals at the previous SEA Games, and Wushu athlete Duong Thuy Vy, an Asian Games gold medalist.

At the 28th SEA Games in Singapore, Vietnam maintained its place among the top three countries with 73 gold medals.

The nation’s athletes set 13 new SEA Games records during the event, including eight in swimming.
