This year’s event will see the participation of 300 athletes and coaches from nine countries and territories, including Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong (China) and the Republic of Korea. They will compete in 18 events for men and 18 events for women.
The SEASA 2016, the most prestigious regional shooting competition, will provide opportunities for regional shooters to sharpen their skills before competing at SEA Games, continent and global tournaments, said Deputy Director of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training Tran Duc Phan, who is head of the SEASA 2016 Organising Board.

Vietnam shooting has gained excellent achievements over the past years and is one of the three strongest teams in Southeast Asia. Especially, it affirmed its position in the world arena after Hoang Xuan Vinh won the first gold for Vietnam at Olympics Rio 2016.
