Russians win volleyball world tour in Quang Ninh province
Tuesday, May 14,2019AsemconnectVietnam - Ksenia Dabizha and Daria Rudykh beat Alexandra Moiseeva and Ekaterina Syrtseva 2-0 in an all-Russian final to win the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour that closed in north-eartern Quang Ninh province on May 12.
It was a sweet result for Dabizha and Rudykh who took part in the tournament held in the Tuan Chau Island for the first time.
Speaking after winning Rudykh said it was hot in Tuan Chau but it did not affect much to her performance. The people was nice and the landscape was beautiful. She was happy to take win in her debut here.
The Russian duo brought home points for their world ranking and 2,000 USD in cash.
In the third-place match earlier, Yui Nagata and Yukato Suzuki of Japanese beat Beata Vaida and Ioana-Alexandra Ordean from Romania 2-0 to take the bronze medal.
Twenty-six teams from 13 countries and territories join the tournament which has been organised annually.
