Gathering all required elements for a modern industrial zone, Cai Mep Industrial Park invested by SGC is assessed as one of the ideal places for domestic and foreign enterprises when they find investment opportunities in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. Established in 2002, the 670-ha Cai Mep Industrial Park is situated in the southern economic zone in Tan Phuoc and Phuoc Hoa communes, Tan Thanh district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. About 70 km from HCM City and 40 km from Vung Tau City, well-connected Cai Mep Industrial Park is an appealing destination to investors. Lying close to deepwater ports capable of receiving ships of 80,000 DWT, the distance from Cai Mep Industrial Park to Tan Cang - Cai Mep Port, Interflour Port, Gemadept Port and Japan ODA Port is shorter than 2 km, thus helping investors to minimize transport costs for input materials and exports. This is considered a superior, peculiar strength of the Cai Mep Industrial Park in comparison with other industrial zones inside and outside the province. Besides, the well-planned investment and well-designed construction of specialized ports such as Interflour flour port, LPG port, Petec petroleum port and Cai Mep petroleum port can receive vessels of up to 110,000 DWT.

Internal roads - 31 meters, 24 meters and 19.5 meters wide - are connected with Cai Mep - Thi Vai International Port and National Road 51 (connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Vung Tau City). It also has a lot of other utilities such as telecommunications, electric, water, gas, banking, postal, customs, police and security systems to ensure the highest utility for investors. Water supply and drainage systems and environmental remediation systems are complied with stringent standards and regulations.

To support for investors, Cai Mep Industrial Park Management Board also applies many attractive incentives. Accordingly, the company assisted in completing procedures related to investment certification, tax declaration and customs formalities. Projects in the industrial park are entitled to a preferential corporate income tax of 20 percent for 10 years from the year of operation and 25 percent in the following years. They are exempted from corporate income tax in the first two years and a 50 percent reduction on tax payable for the next four years. This is the first wholly foreign-invested project in Cai Mep Industrial Park and also the first rare earth production project in Vietnam. VRec is a wholly Japan-invested invested company and the arrival of a prestigious company like VRec is seen as the most concrete evidence for the attractiveness of the industrial park to domestic and foreign enterprises.
