CADIVI: Efforts for consumer benefits

Particularly, an overall development strategy aimed at strengthening CADIVI-branded product quality on the market has been ultimately pursued by all members of CADIVI, from the leadership to unranked employees. Once launched onto the market, all products of the corporation thus meet international and national standards like TCVN-6610, IEC, ASTM, AS, BS, DIN, UL of the United States, JIS and TQM of Japan. Besides, CADIVI was also the first State-owned production and business enterprise to be certified the ISO 9002:1994 quality management system and upgraded to ISO 9001:2008 certificate in March 2011. With strict adherence to national and international production standards, CADIVI-branded electric cables are not only ensured the quality and diversity of functions and designs but also featured a good electric conductivity - safe electric insulation - electric saving and environmental friendliness.
Not only trusted and supported by consumers, CADIVI is also appreciated by domestic and foreign partners and customers for production capacity of high-quality, durable electric wires, cables and instruments. With products widely used in domestic and international projects, CADIVI has affirmed its industry leadership and become a strong brand in the cause of industrialisation and modernisation of the nation.
With its development orientation “Strengthening the domestic market make inroads into foreign markets”, CADIVI-branded wires and cables not only dominate the domestic market but also conquer potential markets in the world like the United States and ASEAN. CADIVI will expand its exports to Japan, Cuba and Australia so as to increase its revenue in 2016. Revealing the company’s development prospect in Japan, CADIVI General Director Nguyen Loc said Japan tends to redirect its investment from China to Vietnam and many Japanese projects are being deployed in Vietnam. Besides, Japan is speeding up its preparations for Olympics 2020 and it will have a huge demand for construction. Hence, if CADIVI can meet strict standards from Japan, the corporation will be able to access this huge market where demand for high-grade power cables is very high, including underground medium- and low-voltage cables, twisted medium-voltage cables, fibre optic cables, aluminium alloy wires and waterproofing medium-voltage cables. But, to access and conquer the Japanese market successfully, there are a lot of things that CADIVI needs to do, including improving product quality to satisfy all consumer requirements there. In addition, as Japanese customers specially uphold prestige in business, CADIVI will always ensure its prestige to build the trust of consumers to successfully conquer this potential market.
To start its movement to reach Japan and other fertile markets, in January 2016, CADIVI commenced the second phase construction of an electric cable production factory in Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park in Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City. Costing VND250 billion for construction and covering an area of over 9,000 square metres, the plant is designed to improve productivity and quality, reduce costs and enhance the product competitiveness to meet domestic and international market demands for electric cables, particularly high-quality underground low- and medium-voltage cables. Mr Loc stressed, “As the country's economy is undergoing a far-reaching integration into the world economy, driven by its joining in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and its signing of Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and a series of free trade agreements, the investment in the production factory in Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park will help CADIVI effectively meet the increasing demands of domestic power sector and better serve export expansion, including the target market of Japan.”
