ManpowerGroup signs jobs agreement with East Saigon Vocational School

AsemconnectVietnam - ManpowerGroup Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding on June 5 with the East Saigon Vocational School to recruit and train staff in District 9, in line with the Government’s Resolution 44/NQ-CP on innovation in education and Instruction 2699 on boosting occupation orientation.

ManpowerGroup Vietnam will provide the school with consultancy services to develop educational programs focused on manufacturing and business in the district, and provide more job opportunities to students from the school, as well as jobseekers in District 9 and neighboring regions.

At the signing ceremony, the group and school organized a job fair with over 1000 available jobs, and provided guidelines on job interview skills to help applicants secure suitable jobs.

Also, the group will join with businesses to build training programs that meet the demands of area enterprises.

Such cooperation, to continue for three years, incorporates a program on training students and jobseekers with needed soft skills, along with the building of a job center.

The principal of the school, Dang Van Dai, hailed the cooperation with ManpowerGroup Vietnam as an important strategy to connect students and jobseekers with enterprises, adding that the school is working with the group to put in place these new programs.

Nguyen Xuan Son, Operations Manager of Enterprise Account Outsourcing and Staffing services at ManpowerGroup Vietnam, said that job opportunities are plentiful in the market, but the quality of labor sometimes fails to meet the requirements of enterprises.

“We are improving collaboration with training and educational institutions to equip students with skills and knowledge,” he added.

The cooperation between the group and the school is essential to reduce unemployment, follow the Government’s policies, and help enterprises find suitable staff. The cooperation is slated to expand and develop the model in the near future to bring jobs to those seeking work in various localities.
