HSBC launches facial recognition technology
Monday, May 28,2018AsemconnectVietnam - The HSBC Vietnam Ltd. announced on May 23 the launch of facial recognition technology for corporate customers, allowing them to use Face ID function to log in their banking accounts. The latest innovative feature is aimed to help customers speed up log-in process no more than one second.
The Face ID technology applied by HSBC Vietnam will work by recognizing facial features, and analyzing more than 30,000 points in order to create a depth map of the face. The function connects the bank’s mobile application programming interface (API) securely to the phone’s software to authenticate the user, with less than a one-in-million chance of mistaken identity.
