Amway gets Golden Dragon Award
Wednesday, April 18,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Amway Vietnam, a subsidiary of the Amway Corporation, has received an award under the “high-quality products” category for the fourth time at the 17th Golden Dragon Awards.
The Golden Dragon Awards is the largest annual event organized by the Vietnam Economics Times Group and the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
This is the fourth time Amway Vietnam has been nominated and recognized for a prestigious award for foreign-invested enterprises that make positive contributions to Vietnam’s economic growth while helping create a fair and healthy business environment.
These companies have also employed cutting-edge technology, offered environmentally friendly and high-quality products, and have also engaged in positive community activities.
The Golden Dragon award commemorates Amway Vietnam’s sustainable growth commitment. The company has set up 12 branches and distribution centers across the nation, and three training centers in Hanoi, HCMC and Can Tho since 2008.
Notably, the company has also established a plant in the southern province of Binh Duong. The facility specializes in health food products and food supplements (Nutrilite™), skin care products (Artistry™), personal care products (Glister, Santinique and G&H), and home care products (Amway Home).
The company has a thorough checking mechanism for these kinds of products in order to guarantee the best quality products to its customers.
“Being loyal to product quality criteria has been our core value since the very first days of entering the Vietnamese market. Amway strives day by day to further innovate itself in a bid to provide high-quality and unique products for Vietnamese customers,” said Leo Boon Wang, general director of Amway Vietnam, in a statement.
He added Amway invests more than US$100 million into research and development of new products on an annual basis. The company has a team of experienced professionals and acquires production material from organic farms covering around 2,500 hectares all over the world.
“The award not only implies consumer confidence in Amway’s high-quality, safe and environmentally friendly products but also gives Amway support towards realizing its commitment to sustainable development in Vietnam,” he noted.
In addition to business activities, Amway Vietnam has been active in social programs. Its Nutrilite™ Power of 5 Campaign is aimed at raising public awareness about malnutrition by providing daily micronutrient supplements for over 4,000 malnourished children in the mountainous provinces of Bac Giang and Lao Cai.
The company donated VND584 million (over US$25,600) for 17 SOS Children’s Villages in the country last year.
