  • AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s low-cost carrier Vietjet will launch a new air service connecting Hanoi and Myanmar’s Yangon on August 31 to cash in on growing travel, tourism and trade ties between the two countries.

  • The airline will operate daily flights on the new run with a flying time of one hour and 55 minutes. Flights depart from Hanoi at 12:05 and arrive in Yangon at 13:30 (local time). Return flights take off in Yangon at 14:30 (local time) and arrive in Hanoi at 16:55.

This is the second route to Myanmar operated by Vietjet after HCMC-Yangon service. The new route is expected to help boost trade and investment cooperation between the two ASEAN nations.

Vietjet plans to expand its flight network in the Asia-Pacific region by launching more services and purchase more modern aircraft.

At present, the carrier has 45 A320 and A321 planes operating 350 flights a day on 63 routes in Vietnam and to Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia and Cambodia.
