Xiaomi smartphones march into Vietnam
Monday, March 20,2017AsemconnectVietnam - Xiaomi, a smartphone manufacturer in China, and Digiworld Joint Stock Company on Wednesday introduced Xiaomi smartphones to HCMC following an agreement signed between the two companies.
Under the deal, Digiworld will be an official distributor of China's smartphone brand Xiaomi in Vietnam and responsible for expanding markets and providing warranty services for all products of Xiaomi on the domestic market.Wang Xiang, vice senior chairman of Xiaomi, said Xiaomi’s smartphones will be sold at phone retail store chains namely The Gioi Di Dong, Mai Nguyen Luxury Mobile, and HNam Mobile as well as at 6,000 points of sale nationwide under the distribution network of Digiworld.Doan Hong Viet, CEO of Digiworld, said the company will be the only distributor of Xiaomi smartphones in Vietnam.
In addition, Digiworld will be in charge of distributing products to online retailers like Lazada, Tiki and Sendo.Xiaomi has coordinated with Digiworld to open four customer service centers in HCMC, Hanoi and Danang. Customers can come to the centers for repairing products and giving feedback on technical problems when using Xiaomi’s electronic products.Earlier, the Chinese manufacturer has only focused on distribution strategies and online sales while skipping offline channels. Now, however, Xiaomi has stepped up cooperation with local distributors to develop offline sales.
