AsemconnectVietnam - After profits decreased by 64.3% in 2023, Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Joint Stock Company (code HAH - HOSE) continues to plan profits to decrease by 10.5% in 2024, to VND344.3 billion.

In 2024, Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Company plans a total revenue of VND3,502.6 billion, an increase of 31.8% over the same period and an expected profit after tax of VND344.3 billion, a decrease of 10.5% compared to implementation in 2023. Of which, the total expected output is 1.4 million TEU, an increase of 30.2% over the same period.
It is known that in 2023, Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Company recorded revenue of VND2,612.69 billion, down 18.5% over the same period, profit after tax recorded VND371.2 billion, a decrease 64.3% over the same period last year.
Previously, Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Company decided to lower its business plan for 2023. Of which, total revenue was VND2,668.77 billion, down 9.8% compared to the plan approved at the beginning of the year, corresponding to a decrease of VND291.2 billion; and profit after tax decided to decrease by 18.7% compared to the plan at the beginning of the year, corresponding to a decrease of VND92 billion, to VND400 billion.
Thus, with the profit plan lowered to VND400 billion, by the end of 2023, Hai An Transport and Loading Company still did not complete the plan when it only completed 92.8% of the profit plan of VND400 billion, and only completed 75.4% of the year's target profit of VND492 billion.
Returning to the new financial year plan, in 2024, Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Company said it will continue to research, search, work and negotiate with partners who are financial institutions. Mainly, foreign investors to arrange capital for newly built container ships that will be handed over in 2024.
In particular, according to the 2024 plan, Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Company will receive 3 more new ships.
Notably, in 2023, Hai An Company received the delivery of the first newly built 1,800 TEU container ship at Hoang Hai Shipyard - China, the ship named Haian Alfa, this is the first ships of four newbuilding ships that the Company signed with Huanghai Shipbuilding.
Thus, after receiving new ships, by the end of 2023, Hai An Company's fleet will increase to 12 ships, with a carrying capacity of nearly 18,000 TEU.
In addition, on March 20, Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Company will also finalize the list of shareholders participating in the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, which is expected to be held mid-late April 2024 until early May 2024 in Hai Phong City.
