Uber Vietnam to provide inter-provincial transport services

 Tuesday, August 22,2017

AsemconnectVietnam - Ride-hailing service firm Uber Vietnam will launch passenger transport services between HCMC and other provinces in the coming time.

To mark three years of its operation in Vietnam, Uber last Friday unveiled a plan in which its drivers can take requests to transport passengers between HCMC and other provinces, opening up an opportunity for drivers to earn more revenues.

A representative of the company introduced some new programs intended to support drivers and partners. For example, if passengers send negative reviews on  their trips due to app or fare problems, those reviews will not be included in the average scores of the drivers.
New drivers who are still unfamiliar with the ride-hailing app will be exempt from negative reviews. Besides, they will not be connected with passengers who use the app for the first time so that they can avoid getting negative reviews.
From this month on, Uber app users can enter three destinations, instead of only one, for a single trip.
The company will set up a telephone switchboard for operators to answer questions from drivers and assist them. All incoming calls, especially those from MobiFone, VinaPhone and Viettel carriers, are free of charge.
