Deputy PM expects stronger cooperation with Guinea

 Wednesday, August 8,2018

AsemconnectVietnam - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has proposed specific measures to advance cooperation on agriculture, telecommunications, education and health care between Vietnam and the Republic of Guinea.

At a reception for Guinea’s Foreign Minister Mamadi Toure in Hanoi on August 7, Deputy PM Minh told his guest that Vietnam attributes great importance to developing ties with African friends, including the Republic of Guinea.
Minh also mentioned a plan to expand bilateral collaboration in the two countries’ potential areas such as transportation, mining and oil and gas, and facilitate people-to-people and business exchanges.

For his part, Mamadi Toure said his nation greatly values ties with Vietnam and wished that the bilateral cooperation would be expanded through Party and National Assembly channels and people-to-people exchanges, adding that political trust should serve as a platform for enhancing economic links between the two nations.
Both sides agreed to deepen the bilateral friendship, elevate their two-way trade which is currently standing at nearly US$160 million, and encourage more Vietnamese businesses to invest in the African nation.
