Minister Thien, for his part, informed the guest that the Vietnamese government approved a strategy on developing cultural industries until 2020 with a vision to 2030.
He assured that the Vietnamese concerned agencies will widely disseminate legal regulations on intellectual property, copyright and related rights to the public.
The minister wished that WIPO would continue providing support for Vietnam in the field, especially in the training of quality personnel.
Though Vietnam is yet to join the Beijing Treaty and Marrakesh Treaty, its Law on Intellectual Property contains terms similar to the two treaties.
