 Friday, March 17,2017

AsemconnectVietnam - Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung has stressed that Viet Nam enabled foreign enterprises to develop infrastructure; production and assembly of electric cars.

The Deputy PM made the point on March 15 in Ha Noi while hosting a reception for RoK’s Deputy Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Choi Jeongho.

Mr. Dung underlined the developing strategic partnership between Viet Nam and the RoK in numerous areas of which economics, trade, and investment were bright spots.
The host leader took the occasion to thank the Korean Government and its relevant ministries and agencies for giving  infrastructure development priorities for Viet Nam. So far, the RoK was the second largest sponsor (after Japan) for Viet Nam’s transport sector. A large number of Korean projects operated effectively.
In the coming time, Viet Nam would have high demands for important infrastructure projects, especially North-South Expressway, railway, seaports, and airports. These offered charming opportunities for Korean investors. Hence, the host leader suggested the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to encourage more enterprises to seek and open investment opportunities in Viet Nam.
In reply, the Deputy Minister applauded the host leader’s suggestion, especially in infrastructure development.
Mr. Choi Jeongho revealed that the RoK is proactively deploying the financial support package for Viet Nam’s priority fields, including road, railway, urban metro, and energy.
He said the RoK is willing to share its experience in investment attraction in PPP modal in infrastructure development.
The same day, Deputy PM Dung received Mr. Alfred J. DiMora, the Founder and CEO of DiMora
Motorcar who was in Viet Nam for a market research tour in order to build a factory on electric cars and provide electric taxis for Mai Linh Group./.
