Congratulation to re-elected WTO Director-General
Friday, March 10,2017AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam congratulates Roberto Azevedo on his re-election as Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) for 2017-2021, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Hai Binh on March 9.
Binh said the re-election demonstrates WTO members’ recognition of Roberto Azevedo’s positive contributions to the multilateral trading system during the last term.
Vietnam believes that in the next tenure, Roberto Azevedo will continue to promote the system and the role of the WTO while paying heed to ensuring the interests of and increasing technical assistance to developing members of the organisation, including Vietnam, the official added.
