Vietnam Jan-April crude oil exports rise 12 pct y/y
Saturday, May 2,2015AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam's crude oil exports in the first four months of this year rose an estimated 12 percent from 2014 to 2.93 million tonnes, or 179,000 barrels per day (bpd), the government said on Friday.
The crude oil export value in the January-April period, however, dropped 44.5 percent from a year ago to $1.25 billion, the General Statistics Office said.
Oil product imports in the January-April period rose 18.6 percent from the corresponding period last year to an estimated 3.46 million tonnes, with value falling 31.1 percent to $1.9 billion, the office said in its monthly report.
Vietnam also imported an estimated 384,000 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas during the four-month period, a surge of 85.4 percent from the same period in 2014, the office said.
