Economy-trade seen as pillar in Vietnam-US cooperation

AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam regards economy-trade as a pillar in its cooperation with the US, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh said at a reception for Robert Kaproth, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Asia, in Hanoi on September 10.
The Party official showed his elation at the development of the Vietnam – US comprehensive partnership in various fields towards effectiveness and practical outcomes and affirmed Vietnam’s recognition of importance to and its wish for further promotion of the ties with the US, which is one of the leading partners of Vietnam.
Binh also hailed the US’ideas for stronger regional cooperation while saying that now is a suitable time for both nations to intensify quality investment in the sectors of energy, science-technology, and infrastructure.
Such cooperation will help enhance the US’investment in Vietnam and improve their trade balance, he added.
