Vietnam : Telephones and spare parts lead export revenue

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first two months of 2019, overseas shipment of telephones and spare parts was estimated at US$ 6.79 billion, making it the largest hard currency earner, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
The MoIT reported that in the January-February period, eight commodities joined the US$ 1 billion export club. Most of them belonged to the processing industry.
Overseas shipment of footwear ranked fourth with US$ 2.67 billion. Machines and spare parts brought home US$ 2.63 billion of export revenue.
In the first two months, agricultural export revenue was estimated at US$ 3.41 billion, representing a year-on-year decrease of 11.8%. Noticeably, seafood export earned US$ 1.09 billion of export revenue.
