In June, the country imported 1.41 million tons of petrol valued at $958.63 million, up by 11.9 per cent in quantity and 9.8 per cent in value month – on – month.

The average petrol import price reached $681.6 per ton in June and $658.9 per ton in the first six months of this year, up by 25.9 per cent year – on – year.

In the first six months of this year, Vietnam’s imports of petrol from Singapore decreased sharply by 36.4 per cent in quantity and 17.2 per cent in value compared with the same period last year to 1.7 million tons worth of $1.08 billion.

Meanwhile, the imports of petrol from Russia rocketed by 11.5 times in quantity and 15.8 times in value to 60,361 tons worth of $ 51.24 million.

The imports of petrol from Malaysia increased sharply by 63.5 per cent in quantity and 120.7 per cent in value to 2.01 million tons worth of $1.24 billion; from South Korea – up by 24.8 per cent in quantity and 44.7 per cent in value to 1.84 million tons worth of $1.32 billion; and from China – up by 54.6 per cent in quantity and 105.1 per cent in value to 790,725 tons worth of $ 534.34 million.
