 Wednesday, October 4,2023

AsemconnectVietnam - On Wednesday, Robusta coffee prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands, the country's largest coffee-growing area fell by 1200 VND to VND64,800 – VND65,600 per kg compared to Yesterday, according to Kinhtedothi.

Gia Nghia of Dak Nong provided the maximum price of VND65,600/kg, while traders in Lam Dong province offered the lowest price of VND64,800/kg. Robusta coffee decreased to VND64,800 in Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha; to VND 65,300 – VND 65,400 per kg in Dak Lak; to VND65,500 - VND65,600 in Dak Nong; to VND65,200 per kg in Kon Tum, and to VND65,200 - VND65,300 per kg in Gia Lai.
The General Statistics Office of Vietnam estimates that coffee exports in September will reach 90 thousand tonnes, approximately 1.5 million bags, up 6.32% over the previous month but down 6.81% over the same period last year. In the first 9 months of the year, Vietnam's coffee exports reached 1,207 million tonnes (about 20.12 million bags), down 11.65% over the same period last year. The above data shows that supply is facing difficulties in the world's second largest coffee producing country, thereby supporting price increases.
