Exports of animal feed in first 4 months of 2023

AsemconnectVietnam - According to the preliminary statistics figures of the General Department of Customs, the export turnover of animal feed of the whole country in the first 4 months of 2023 reached 327.42 million USD, down by 12.5% compared to the first 4 months of 2022.

In April of 2023 only, the figure reached 7.99 million USD, down by 5.6% compared to March of 2023 and down by 4% compared to April of 2022.
The country’s exports of animal feed to China - the largest market, in April of 2023 decreased by 13% compared to March of 2023 and decreased by 2.7% compared to April of 2022, reaching 43.98 million USD, In general, the export turnover to this market in the first 4 months of 2023 reached 143.67 million USD, down by 15.5% compared to the first 4 months of 2022, accounting for 43.9% of the total export turnover of this commodity group of the country.
The exports of animal feed to Cambodia market - the second largest market in the first 4 months of 2023 increased by 33.9% over the same period last year, reaching 55.8 million USD, accounting for 17% of total turnover. In April of 2023 alone, the figure decreased by 12.4% compared to March of 2023 but increased sharply by 48.2% compared to April of 2022, reaching 114.51 million USD.
The Malaysian market ranked third in terms of turnover, reaching 33.25 million USD, a strong increase of 40.3% over the same period last year. In April of 2023 alone, the figure increased by 38.8% compared to March of 2023 and increased by 28.8% compared to April of 2022, reaching 10.32 million USD.
Animal feed exports to the FTA-RCEP markets in the first 4 months of 2023 decreased by 4.6% over the same period last year, reaching 272.79 million USD, accounting for 83.3% of the total turnover. The exports to the FTA - CPTTP market increased by 26.7% over the same period last year, reaching 41.82 million USD, accounting for 112.8% of the total turnover. Meanwhile, the exports to the Southeast Asian markets increased by 12.3% over the same period, reaching 112.09 million USD, accounting for 34.2%.
