Vietnam spent nearly 600 million USD importing vegetables and fruits in first 4 months of 2023

AsemconnectVietnam - According to the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, in the first four months of 2023, Vietnam spent nearly 600 million USD to import vegetables and fruits, up by 1.57% over the same period last year.

According to data from the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, in the first four months of 2023, Vietnam spent 559.507 million USD to import vegetables and fruits, up by 1.57% over the same period last year.
Among the fruit and vegetable import markets, China currently ranked No. 1 with total import turnover in the first 4 months of 2023 of 211,962 million USD, up by 5.59% over the same period last year.
The U.S ranked second with 85,131 million USD (in the same period last year, the imports reached 97,387 million USD).
The third place was the Australian market with an import turnover of 41,472 million USD (in the same period last year, the imports reached 49.284 million USD).
Myanmar and Cambodia ranked 4th and 5th place respectively with export figures of 37,496 million USD and 25,898 million USD, respectively.
Regarding the market share of fruit and vegetable imports, currently China accounts for 37.88%, the United States accounts for 15.22%, Australia accounts for 7.41%, Myanmar accounts for 6.7%, and Cambodia accounts for 4.07%.
