AsemconnectVietnam - On Wednesday, Robusta coffee prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands, the country's largest coffee-growing area increased by 500 VND to VND56,400 - VND56,800 per kg compared to Yesterday due to a lack of domestic supply, according to Kinhtedothi.com.

Cư M'gar of Dak Lak provided the maximum price of VND56,800/kg, while traders in Lam Dong province offered the lowest price of VND56,400/kg. Robusta coffee rose to VND54,900 per kg in Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha; to VND53,700- 53,800 per kg in Dak Lak; to VND55,200-55,300 per kg in Dak Nong; to VND55,200 per kg in Kon Tum, and to VND55,100-55,200 per kg in Gia Lai.
Coffee is one of Vietnam's main agricultural exports. In 2022, Vietnam has about 710,000 hectares of coffee cultivation area, 50% of which is planted with coffee varieties with high export value.
According to Viet Nam Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development that in order to continue to improve the quality of coffee, we must continue to improve coffee farmers' irrigation systems and enterprises' processing production lines, so that the seeds, cultivation, crude processing, fresh-keeping production lines using the best technology level to meet the increasingly stringent export requirements.
Several parts of Vietnam's Central Highlands, the country's coffee belt, have recorded rainfall, easing drought fears. Even as it rained in several parts of the coffee belt this week, traders said the weather condition would be monitored closely due to the affect of El Nino.
Vietnam's coffee exports in April stood at 163,607 tonnes (2.7 million 60-kg bags), down 22.2% from March, customs data showed. January-April coffee exports were also down 5.5% against the same period last year. Coffee export revenue for the month reached $399 million, down 17.3% against March, Vietnam Customs said in a statement.
