In the past few days, the 18 referees and assistant referees have taken part in the 3A and 3B training stages, which are the low and medium difficulty workout steps. The referees practiced with VAR in small, short-term games.

The practice on June 14 is at the 3C level. In this step, the referees took part in an unofficial match lasting 90 minutes.

During the 11-day course, which runs from June 8-18, the participating referees have a chance to practice applying VAR technology in short simulation situations to familiarise themselves with the rules as well as use the technology to analyse situations.

After six days of practical training on VAR vehicles, specifically training with two teams playing in the rehearsal for 10 minutes and 30 minutes, the referees now have entered the crucial training phase with two teams playing in unofficial matches.

The training process is recorded and sent to FIFA daily and then FIFA experts will assess the general practice of each referee.

The VAR technology will be only officially applied in Vietnam after FIFA  approves the results of all steps in verifying VAR stations and the referee training process./.
